A Fulton couple is facing charges stemming from a domestic dispute.
The trouble started around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night at a home on CR 15 in Sandy Creek. Deputies say 22-year-old Jessica Pope, of 4628 SR 49, is accused of throwing a case of beer at her husband 24-year-old Joseph Pope, and instead hitting a truck, breaking the passenger side window. Deputies say Joseph then threw his wife's cell phone across the road, breaking it. They were both charged with criminal mischief, issued tickets and released.
The two were arrested again just a few hours later stemming from a domestic incident that happened earlier in the day. Around 4:40 p.m., deputies say the Popes were making threatening phone calls to a home in the Town of Richland, then arriving and entering without permission.
Deputies say Jessica was told several times she was not allowed on the property or in the home. When she got there, deputies say she got into a fight with two women, pulled one woman's hair and kicked her in the head. But it didn't end there. Investigators say she then bit the other woman on the forearm. This all allegedly happened in front of a minor. She's charged with burglary, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities say Joseph arrived and punched a woman, then refused to leave. He's charged with burglary, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Richland Town Court on August 1st.
Jessica Pope was sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. She's scheduled to be back in court on July 25th.
