Fulton High School student killed in crash

A Fulton High School student was killed in a crash in Oswego County early Tuesday evening.

Two cars collided on State Route 3 in the Town of Hannibal around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers say 18 year-old Dylan Blair was driving one of the cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Blair was traveling westbound on State Route 3 when he came upon a vehicle slowing down to assist a disabled car parked on the shoulder of the road. According to witnesses, Blair tried to pass the vehicles by crossing over into the oncoming lane. That's when he hit the car driven by Cheryl Murnane, 47, of Martville head-on. Troopers say Murnane was transported to Upstate Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Three other young people, who all attend Fulton High School, were in Blair's car and were hurt. Joshua Barnello, 18, of Fulton suffered non-life threatening injuries. Brittany Donahue, 17, of Fulton suffered facial fractures and cuts. Miranda Bivens, 18, of Oswego suffered non-life threatening injuries. All three passengers were taken to Upstate University Medical Center.

State police say the investigation is still ongoing.
