Fulton man accused of restraining a woman who tried to leave his home

A Fulton man was arrested for allegedly restraining a woman and damaging a vehicle in early May.

Deputies say Ryan E. Taylor, 31, allegedly damaged a vehicle and restrained a woman when she attempted to leave his residence on German Dale Drive in Fulton on May 5.

The vehicleâ??s front window was smashed, the rear driver side door was dented, and the rain guard to the rear driver side door was also damaged, according to police.

Taylor was arrested Friday and charged with felony criminal mischief and unlawful imprisonment.

He was arraigned before the Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to Court on July 11.

Taylor was further charged after he allegedly falsely represented the name of a witness in his statement during the investigation. He was charged with obstructing governmental administration, false written statement, and offering to file a false written statement.

He was released on appearance tickets for the additional charges and is scheduled to appear before Oswego City Court on August 6.
