A fugitive wanted for the attempted murder of his girlfriend in South Carolina was apprehended in Fulton.
Fulton Police say they responded to an suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Empower Federal Credit Union at 520 South Second Street on Monday.
Police say that a warrant check one of the vehicle TMs occupants, 32-year-old Edward Lamar Moses, showed that he was wanted for attempted murder and kidnapping by the Darlington County South Carolina Sheriff TMs Department. Police then took Moses into custody.
According to SCNOW, Moses allegedly, held his girlfriend at gunpoint and tried to set her on fire with lighter fluid.
According to police, it appeared that the occupants of the vehicle had no criminal intent.
Police say Moses is also wanted in Georgia on weapons charges.
Moses is currently being held at the Fulton Police Department pending arraignment for being a fugitive from justice. After arraignment, he will be held at Oswego County Jail while the extradition to South Carolina process is completed. Georgia declined to extradite.
