Geneseo school driver finished route drunk with BAC three times the legal limit
A school bus driver has been arrested on drunken driving charges by police investigating an alcohol poisoning and drug possession case in Livingston County.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says 47-year-old Manon Coyne of Avon was arrested as she drove up to a house in the town of Geneseo where deputies had found a 49-year-old man with alcohol poisoning Monday morning.
Deputies say Coyne had just safely driven five Geneseo Central School students to a summer program, but appeared intoxicated. They say her blood alcohol level was 0.24, three times the legal limit.
She was arraigned on five counts of felony driving while intoxicated and five counts of child endangerment. Court officials weren't available to say if she has a lawyer.
The deputies also arrested a 19-year-old woman on drug possession and resisting arrest charges.
