Gov. Andrew Cuomo is scheduled to make a public appearance in Buffalo, his first since a published report said his administration interfered with the corruption panel the governor created.
Cuomo is expected to make an economic development announcement Monday morning on the University at Buffalo's South Campus. The governor's office says the announcement is open to the media, and Cuomo is expected to get questions from reporters regarding last week's article in The New York Times regarding the Moreland Commission.
The newspaper reported Wednesday that a top Cuomo aide pressured commissioners to stop subpoenas to a media-buying firm Cuomo used and to a real estate organization whose members financially supported the governor's campaign.
Cuomo's office says a commission created by the governor can't investigate the governor's office.
