A Granby woman arrived at her home Friday afternoon to find three Granby men had broken into her house and were stealing her possessions.
State police say the woman arrived at her home on Phinney Road in the Town Granby around 12:45 p.m. Friday afternoon. She called 911 when she found the burglars, 20 year old Jessie Walden, 21 year old Stephen Hagen and 17 year old Jonathon Tanner, in the home.
Troopers say the woman tried to restrain the burglars and keep them from leaving the house after she called 911. She got into a struggle with the men and during that struggle, Walden hit her in the head with a bottle of wine he was stealing from her home.
According to state police, the woman was able to keep one of the men at the house until troopers arrived. The investigation that followed led to the arrest of all three men. They're all charged with burglary.
Walden is also charged with assault for hitting the woman with the wine bottle. Troopers say the woman was taken to Oswego Hospital to be treated for a cut on her head, but she's now been released.
All three men were arraigned in the Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $7,500cash /$15,000 bond.
