Grandstand tickets for country star Toby Keith on sale Saturday

Tickets to see country star Toby Keith at the New York State Fair go on sale Saturday morning.

Toby Keith takes the Grandstand stage on Friday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. Seats range between $45 to $65, and tickets are available starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25.

You can go to the State Fair box office, at the main gate of the Fairgrounds, to reserve your seats, or use the Fairâ??s online ticket retailer, Etix.com. Tickets cost the same in both places.

The Fair is limiting ticket sales to eight tickets per show, per customer for the first day of ticket sales. The only exception to this rule is with Luke Bryan's performance, The Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year. The limit is six tickets.

Parking for box office sales is available in the Brown lot. The Fair will not allow people to park or line up overnight to buy tickets.

Keith burst onto the country music scene with his first single, "Shoud've Been a Cowboy" in the early 1990s.

Since then, he's has had more than 40 songs top the Billboard Hot Country charts, many of them number-one hits, or landing in the Top 10.

People in the community are also wondering whether he will stop by his restaurant, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Destiny USA.

This week, he is in his hometown of Moore, Oklahoma surveying the damage the monstrous E-F 5 tornado left behind.

An article on the star's website says Keith has taken steps to hold a benefit for tornado victims.

"I know as soon as I start sending out some feelers that I'll get a lot of people in there," Keith says. "Hopefully, we can use music to heal some of the money problems right away."

Other Grandstand acts scheduled for the 2013 State Fair include Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carly Rae Jepsen, Reba and comedian Jeff Dunham.

Tickets are still available for Reba and Jepsen's performances. Those tickets went on sale earlier this month.

Tickets for people with special needs and one companion will go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets.

More Grandstand shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The New York State Fair is scheduled for August 23 through September 3.
