Guilty plea in Syracuse DWI crash that pinned woman to a wall

Te Sa

A woman accused of backing her car into another woman and killing her pleads guilty in the case.

Te Sa pleaded guilty in Onondaga County Court Tuesday to second degree vehicular manslaughter.

Police say she was driving down the 600 block of East Division Street last month when she crashed into a parked car. Her car got stuck and when she tried to dislodge it, police say the car shot backwards, hitting 41-year-old Anna Russo-Young who was walking on the sidewalk. Russo-Young was pinned between the car and a concrete block.

Police say Sa pulled forward, then backed up a second time, striking Russo-Young again. Russo-Young was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Police say Sa was driving drunk at the time. She will be sentenced to 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison on May 15.
