Have you heard about Matt? Or better yet, have you seen his dancing?
Matt is a 34-year-old self-professed deadbeat from Connecticut who travels around the world and documents his dancing. In fact, he's become an internet sensation, with more than 37 million views of this video.
He'll be making a stop in Central New York today. After repeated requests, he'll head to the Samaritan Center on Montgomery Street in Syracuse at 3 p.m.
He was shooting a new video and Toronto and will head to New York City after this.
On his website, Matt admits all he ever wanted to do in life was make and play videogames, but later realized he might be missing out on some great things life has to offer.
In 2003, he quit his job in Australia and used the money he saved to wander around Asia until the money ran out. He originally made his website so his family and friends who keep track of his adventures.
Then, his friend gave him an area. They were taking pictures in Hanoi when his friend said, "Hey, why don't you stand over there and do that dance. I'll record it." He was referring to a particular dance Matt does. It's actually the only dance Matt does. He does it badly. More than 37 million hits on YouTube later, he has gone viral.
Matt lives in Seattle, Washington with his girlfriend, Melissa, and dog, Sydney.
