W ith renovations to Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications slated for completion this fall, the William Randolph Hearst is donating $500,000 to the project.
The renovation of the school's Newhouse 2 building will update studio facilities to provide students with cutting-edge equipment and workspaces that reflect the changing digital age and professional settings they'll see in their careers.
The new facility will be named Dick Clark Studios in honor of the late Syracuse University alumnus. Clark's widow, Kari, announced a $5 million gift from the Kari and Dick Clark Foundation.
The Hearst Foundations are national philanthropic resources for organizations working in the fields of culture, education, health and social services.
