State Police are investigating a domestic dispute in Herkimer County that left a couple seriously hurt. Both are jail deputies in the Herkimer County Sheriffâ??s Department.
Police were called to a home at 482 Joslin Hill Road in the Town of Frankfort around 9:15 p.m. Sunday. When they got there, police found 55-year-old Gail White with severe head trauma. Police say her husband 56-year-old John White attacked her, leaving her with a broken nose, broken jaw and bleeding in the head. Police say John White then shot himself in the face.
Gail White was taken to St. Lukeâ??s Memorial Center in Utica where she is listed in serious condition. John White was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica where he is listed in critical condition.
State Police say the couple was having marital issues. They are still investigating.
