A local high school booster is under arrest, accused of possessing and sharing child pornography on his home computer.

According to State Police, 47-year-old Michael Dolson of Maple Manor Drive in North Syracuse has been arrested and charged with 13 counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child and two counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child. Dolson is accused of sending images of children as young as one year old engaged in sexual contact with adults to an undercover police officer over the internet. Police say they executed a search warrant on Dolson TMs home and seized computers and other equipment.

Dolson is the president of the Cicero-North Syracuse Field Hockey Booster Club. The school district says he is not, however, an employee of the district. He was arrested after a month-long investigation by the North Syracuse Police Department, in conjunction with the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office.

North Syracuse police chief Tom Connelly gives details on the investigation.

"We were working with the state police for some time and it calumniated in the arrest today," Connelly says. "It involved him chatting on his computer. It's what led to the search warrant this morning. He did send some pornographic photographs of children to investigators."

Dolson was arraigned Tuesday on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to North Syracuse village court on October 25 at 2:00 p.m. for a hearing.

Police say their investigation into this case is ongoing, and anyone who may have more information is asked to call the North Syracuse Police Department at 315-458-5670.
