Route 92 in Manlius was closed for a time Thursday morning following a high speed chase.

At about 4:27 am, State Police found a vehicle that had been in a chase with Town of Manlius Police. Troopers found the vehicle on Oran Delphi Road, and when the driver saw troopers, he sped away at approximate speeds of 95-100 mph.

The suspect's vehicle crested a hill on Route 92 and hit an unmarked State Police cruiser. The State Police Sergeant was taken to University Hospital for treatment and was released.

The suspect, Solomon Ochieng, of Syracuse, was removed from the vehicle after the crash and taken to University Hospital. Once released from the hospital, Ochieng will be arraigned on charges of grand larceny, DWI, reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a police officer and reckless endangerment, State Police say.

The vehicle Ochieng was driving, which is registered to his sister, was reported stolen, according to troopers.
