Homeless man arrested after robbing a Byrne Dairy with a club
Tue, 09 Jul 2013 18:25:22 GMT — A homeless man was arrested for allegedly robbing the Byrne Dairy on Brewerton Road in Mattydale around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.Deputies say 28-year-old Brian Maines, identified by police as homeless, allegedly threatened the cashier with a wooden "billy-club" and demanded money. Maines then fled the store with the cash.He was quickly located and arrested after a short chase on foot.Maines was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in the Town of Salina Court and is being held at the Justice Center without bail.There were no reported injuries during the incident.
