Syracuse vs. Georgetown.
It's a rivalry that's seen some of the most iconic figures in college basketball history.
From players like Patrick Ewing and Derrick Coleman to legendary coaches like John Thompson, Jr. and Jim Boeheim.
The Orange and Hoyas are synonymous with tradition.
But one of the most anticipated hardwood clashes each year in college basketball is likely to run its course in the very near future.
Syracuse's jump to the Atlantic Coast Conference will make scheduling Georgetown a challenge going forward -- likely making tonight's showdown in the Carrier Dome between the two schools even more special for fans.
It's the only time these two teams will meet this year.
Students have been camping out for the best seats since early last week. Perhaps a few of them might be sporting the new platinum jerseys, now available online.
The Orange enters the game ranked second in the country, behind No.1 Kentucky, and atop the Big East standings.
But nipping on the heels of SU is Georgetown, just two games back in the loss column.
How will this one shape up? More than 28,000 people will watch the game in person tonight inside the Dome.
If you don't have tickets, you can watch the game on ESPN. Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
We'll have complete coverage leading up to the game on NBC 3 and CBS 5 between 5:00-6:30.
