Hundreds raise their green beer for St. Paddy's Day at Coleman's

The shamrock was painted right in front of Coleman's.

H undreds were out at Coleman's Authentic Irish Pub on Syracuse's Tipperary Hill to celebrate St. Patrick's Day today. People could get their taste of green beer while having fun with their family and friends. Coleman's started this party at 7:00 am and the green shamrock was freshly painted for everyone to see. This holiday is held to something more than just a party though for many on Tipp Hill. .

Jess O'Laughlin is very Irish and she knows what this day mean to her community. "This is a huge Irish community and we all celebrate St. Patrick's Day together here on Tipperary Hill," says O'Laughlin. Mallory Munro goes to Le Moyne, but she still made her way to Coleman's earlier today. "I just like coming out and celebrating my heritage and obviously celebrating with my best friends. I just think it's awesome. Besides the beer it's just a time to come out, celebrate and just be Irish," says Munro.
