"I'm glad I have my daughter back where I know I can protect her"
NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
It was an emotional reunion for Caitlyn Frisina and her parents, who traveled to North Syracuse from Lake City, Florida to see their daughter.
"It’s been difficult. I'm glad I have my daughter back where I know I can protect her and keep her safe as a father always wants to do," her father Ward said.
Frisina was reunited with her parents on Saturday afternoon at the New York State Police barracks in North Syracuse.
"We had a very beautiful, wonderful, very emotional reunion with her a little while ago and we are so thankful to have her back," her mother Scarlet said.
Her father added how he aims to be more careful in the future about who he trusts.
"It may make me a little more cautious when I'm trusting people, but, we have to love and cherish people and you have to let people in your life," Ward added.
