Incident with police in Wolcott posed no danger to the public, police say

Tue, 02 Apr 2013 17:11:55 GMT — A portion of the Village of Wolcott was blocked off as police negotiated with an unknown individual Tuesday afternoon.State Police say a distraught person called 911 wanting to kill himself. The man was taken into custody and will be given a mental health evaluation.Police say the situation was over within minutes.Wolcott is a small village in Wayne County, approximately midway between Syracuse and Rochester.Police say the incident was not a "standoff," and no weapons were involved. There was no danger to the public.The manâ??s name is not being released.
