A local manufacturer that produces high-tech vacuum-process equipment is seeking tax breaks for a planed expansion of its DeWitt facility.
Inficon Inc. has applied for tax breaks for the $13 million expansion, which would create a 64,000 square foot addition to its facility. The move will create 40 new jobs and help retain 240 existing jobs.
The company will receive $2.5 million from the state to help with the expansion.
Construction is scheduled to begin in September.
