Inmate accused of head butting an Oneida County Jail corrections officer

An Oneida County Jail inmate is accused of head butting a corrections officer in the face, causing the officer to lose a tooth.

Deputies say Vincent L. Wynder, an inmate at the Oneida County Jail, was arrested for assaulting a corrections officer last Friday.

Deputies say Wynder head butted the officer. The officer suffered a cut to his head and lost a tooth as a result.

Wynder was charged with felony second degree assault and is scheduled to appear in New York Mills Village court at a later date.
