Investigators ask for publicâ??s help identifying DeWitt robbery suspect

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office has issued another plea for help to track down the man they say is responsible for assaulting two store clerks during a robbery at the Nice n' Easy in Dewitt.

It happened almost two month ago, on July 21st.

Investigators released surveillance images from that night, hoping members of the community may recognize the man in the pictures.

The Sheriff's Office says the man walked into the Erie Boulevard convenience store around 9 p.m. on July 21, motioned as if he was armed with a gun and demanded money.

The man is thought to be in his late 20's or early 30's and is described as being 5 ' 8" and about 175 pounds.

He was last seen running south on Thompson Road where he got into a blue pick-up truck with an extended cab. Deputies say the truck also had gray stripes, or running boards, along the bottom.

Both clerks had minor injuries in the incident, but they refused medical treatment.
