Investigators make arrest in North Syracuse bank robbery

      The suspect in an April 7 bank robbery in North Syracuse has been arrested.

      The Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Office announced the arrest of 30-year-old Lucas Lunkenheimer, of 2221 Brewerton Road, Mattydale.

      Deputies say Lunkenheimer was the masked man who robbed the Seneca Federal Savings Bank at 201 North Main Street in North Syracuse.

      A joint investigation by the North Syracuse Police Department and the Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Office led to the arrest.

      Lunkenheimer was arrested Friday at about 3:55 pm without incident at a home on Bear Road.

      In a rare move, investigators released a video of Lunkenheimer Thursday night.

      Now, Lunkenheimer faces charges of third degree robbery and third degree grand larceny, both felonies.
