Ithaca man accused of threatening victim with a metal bar in front of a child

An Ithaca man is arrested after an incident involving reckless driving and threats of violence in front of a child in the Village of Interlaken.

Seneca County Sheriffâ??s Deputies arrested 32-year-old Steven A. Santmyer for menacing, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless driving after they say he drove recklessly to the home and then threatened a victim several times while holding a long metal bar in front of a minor on August 5.

Santmyer was arraigned and taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.

He is due back in court on September 8.
