Ithaca police investigate wild night of vandalism with home/car windows broken and seats burned

Ithaca Police are investigating several complaints of vandalism from all over the southern portion of the city that happened overnight on November 19 into early morning on November 20.

Police say a total of 27 separate complaints were received. A bb-style gun was used to shoot out windows on cars and houses, according to police. Several houses were reportedly broken into and several vehicles had items stolen out of them. Furthermore, fires were started on the seats of many of the vandalized vehicles, with the fires apparently going out on their own.

Complaints of criminal mischief have been received from Elmira Road, South

Albany Street, North Titus Avenue, South Titus Avenue, Wood Street, Turner Place, Hudson Street, Park Street, and East Spencer Street.
