Ithaca police are investigating a shooting and consider the suspect to be armed and dangerous.
Police say Monday around 7:39 pm, officers responded to the intersection of South Plain Street and Cleveland Avenue. Officers found out one person had been shot and the victim was taken by car to a nearby hospital.
Police found the victim and interviewed him. Police say the victim and suspect know each other. The suspect is being identified as Clifton McBean of Ithaca.
Police say the victim was shot twice and was taken to a regional trauma center. Police say they will release more information as it comes in. Anyone with information should call Ithaca Police at 607-272-3245.
