Ithaca Police warning about ice, waterways
Ithaca Police are warning people to be careful around ice and waterways after three people slipped into the Ithaca Falls on Saturday.
Police say water levels are rising because of warmer tempertures and melting snow, and ice that looks thick could be unstable and very dangerous.
People are asked to stay away from ithaca's natural areas and waterways, including the areas around Cascadilla Falls and Ithaca Falls and the Cayuga Lake inlet near Stewart Park.
Police say if you see anyone in danger, call 911 right away.
