Jackie Robinson signs off, calling her family a 'constant blessing'

Syracuse television news legend Jackie Robinson told viewers she always tried to deliver the news with integrity, remembering "But, for the grace of God, go I." That was the message she delivered as she anchored the news one final time before beginning her retirement from the station where she spent her entire career.
The following is the message to viewers Jackie wrote and delivered at the end of the 6:00 p.m. news on Tuesday:
"To those who watched for 34 years, I want to express my sincere appreciation. And a special thank you to each and every one of you who called, sent text messages, emails, tweets, cards and flowers, to send your good wishes. The response to my announcement has been overwhelming. I want to thank you for your faithfulness. You represent the best of Central New York.
I have had an amazing career at 1030 James Street and it has been a privilege to deliver the news. covering stories of tragedy and triumph. I have tried to deliver them with honesty, integrity and compassion, remembering but, for the grace of God, go I.
To all of the groups and organizations I lent my voice to, thank you for the opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to me.
To my colleagues, the production crew and everyone behind the scenes, you have become my extended CNY Central family. Matt and Wayne and Michael, it has been a privilege to sit next to you. The best team there is. I thank you for your encouragement and support. I wish you continued success.
To my father, my mom who is no longer with us, my husband Henry and our kids H.R. & Jocelyn: Thank you for sharing me with our TV audience. Without your love and support I couldn't have done it all of these years. Family, you have been a constant blessing.
And for all of you, who stayed up late, to hear me say, its' a wrap, I would like to say, one last time. I'm Jackie Robinson. Good night Central New York!"
