Jefferson County woman accused of stealing grandmother's identity

A Jefferson County woman is accused of stealing her grandmother's identity.

State Police say Rebecca Keegan, 27, of Pierrepont Manor, racked up a $3653.87 bill at area businesses last summer.

Investigators say she stole her grandmother's credit card, and forged her signature on personal checks from July 1st through September 1st.

Keegan was already in the Oswego County jail on separate charges. She was arraigned and sent back to jail on $5,000 bail.

Her case will move before a grand jury.

Keegan is charged with:

- Forgery Second Degree (2 counts)

- Identity Theft

- Grand Larceny Third Degree

- Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fourth Degree

- Petit Larceny
