Jevon Wameling appears in court for burglary charges
Tue, 10 Sep 2013 19:04:20 GMT — Jevon Wameling waived a felony hearing on a burglary charge in the Floyd Town Court on Tuesday morning. Wameling was arrested and charged with burglary last week for allegedly stealing money and jewelry from a home in Oriskany on at least one occasion. His case will now go to an Oneida County grand jury. Wameling has not made bail and is being held in the Oneida County Jail. Wameling is the father of missing 9-month-old Levon Wameling. Police previously stressed that these charges are not related to the search for Levon. The Oneida County District Attorney Scott D. McNamara said Tuesday that there is a "strong possibility of a future prosecution" related to the disappearance of Levon after a search of the Mohawk River last week turned up an infant??s body. The body has not yet been identified and no arrests have been made.
