An East Syracuse company will add about 50 new jobs as they close it's facility in Horseheads near Elmira.

The manufacturer Belden will consolidate it's broadband operations and move all of it's production by the end of the year.

Currently, 320 employees work at the East Syracuse location.

123 people will lose their jobs in Horseheads in the transfer. The company says the decision will help them stay competitive in the marketplace.

They plan to offer severance packages and help find new jobs for employees losing their jobs..
