A Lafayette man pleaded not guilty to an aggravated cruelty to animals charge in Onondaga County Court Tuesday.

29-year-old James Carncross is accused of kicking a Dachshund named â??Buffyâ?? in March.

Police say Carncross caused an injury to the three-year-old dog that ultimately killed it.
