Leaf-peeping season close to end in upstate New York

Leaf-peeping season is drawing to a close in upstate New York.

New York tourism officials report that while upstate New York is generally past peak, there are some areas remaining with a mix of colorful leaves. They say Niagara County will be just past peak with a wide range of colors and that the Rochester area is slightly past peak.

Trees are more colorful downstate, with Long Island at its fall foliage peak.
