Lee man injured in motorcycle crash

A Lee man was injured in a motorcycle accident just before 2 pm yesterday on Thomas Rd. in the Town of Lee.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says that 70-year-old Lyle Jackson was riding his 1984 Honda motorcycle on Thomas Rd. when he lost control due to unsafe speed.

Jackson tried to regain control of the motorcycle and traveled off the roadway. The front tire hit a guide rail along the road, causing the motorcycle to overturn, throwing Jackson into the roadway.

He suffered injuries to his face, arms and upper body and was sent to the hospital.

Jackson will have to appear at Lee Town Court for failing to reduce speed for a special hazard and failing to keep right.
