A Madison County teen was arrested Wednesday after police say he shot a dog with a pellet gun.
The sheriff??s office reports a 13-year-old boy has been charged with torturing or injuring an animal after deputies were called to a reported animal cruelty incident in the Town of Lenox Wednesday night. Police say the gun was seized, and the dog was taken to a Syracuse animal hospital for treatment.
The boy??s parent was issued a ticket to appear in Madison County Family Court. The charge is a misdemeanor under state agriculture and markets law.
