      Sara Anne Wood
Authorities say the man who killed Sara Anne Wood nearly 20 years ago, has now confessed to killing a Massachusetts teenager.

Lewis Lent was already serving life in prison for killing two children - Jimmy Bernardo and Sara Anne Wood.

Hampden District Attorney Mark Mastroianni announced Monday that Lent has confessed to killing 16-year-old James Lusher who was never seen again after leaving his Westfield, Massachusetts home on a bicycle ride in November 1992. His bike was found days later.

Mastroianni says a search for Lusher's remains will take place at a pond in Becket. Lent gave investigators information about the teenager??s death after getting assurance he would not be tried, according to Boston.com.

Lent pleaded guilty to the 1993 abduction and slaying of 12-year-old Sara Ann Wood of Norwich Corners, New York. He was sentenced to 25 years to life but was already serving a life sentence for another murder.

Wood disappeared while riding her bike in a rural part of Herkimer County in the Town of Litchfield on August 18, 1993. Despite Lent??s clues to investigators about a possible location of Wood's remains, her body has never been found. Just this past February the Herkimer County DA told CNY Central local authorities are considering resuming the search for Wood's body. Her disappearance at the hands of a child killer received national attention and led to the establishment of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Utica.

Lent was also convicted of the 1990 killing of 12-year-old Jimmy Bernardo of Pittsfield. According to Boston.com , prosecutors in the case says Lent lured kidnapped Bernardo after luring him into the movie theater where he worked.

Lent is a former handyman and janitor from North Adams, Massachusetts.
