Lights on the Lake is just about ready for the holiday season. Starting Tuesday, Onondaga Lake Parkway is opening up for visitors to view this year's light display.
Tuesday night is the Lights on the Lake stroll. This stroll offers people a chance to preview the show on foot before it opens up to car traffic on Thursday.
Visitors can bring their dogs on Wednesday night to stroll through the lights. For both Tuesday and Wednesday, parking is available at the Wegmans Landing, Salt Museum, or Willow Bay lots. The previews run from 5 to 9 p.m. both nights.
On Tuesday, donations will go towards the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, a group that helps students stay in school and achieve academic success. Wednesday donations will go towards the Humane Society of Central New York.
Lights on the Lake will open to vehicle traffic on Thursday. It will remain open until January 12. The two-mile long show runs from 5 to 10 p.m. every night.
You can visit the Lights on the Lake site for more information and pricing.
