Live models turn heads in windows of Landmark Theatre in Syracuse

The windows of Syracuse's historic Landmark Theatre came alive Thursday evening as local businesses unveiled windows decorated for Syracuse Style. The takes place next Thursday, September 19, on Walton Street at 7:30 p.m. CBS 5 News Anchor Michael Benny will once again co-host the event which happens right in the middle of Walton Street - with a runway for all to see. Lisa Chelenza of The Gomez & Dave morning radio show will join Michael.

Fashions for Thursday evening's Landmark window displays were provided by shops participating in the downtown fashion show. The free event was presented by Syracuse Style, the premier downtown fashion event, which is collaboration between a local fashion designer Lisa Butler and the Downtown Committee of Syracuse. "This is a unique activity, never before seen in Syracuse," said Lisa Butler, co-producer of the event. "The Landmark Window Project intersects fashion and commerce; art and business; creativity and advertising. We hope it brings people downtown to celebrate local businesses."
