Liverpool double-homicide stemmed from love triangle, source says
Justin Dallas, the man accused of
killing his estranged wife
, Brandy Dallas, and his former co-worker Samantha Rainwater, may have been motivated by a love triangle that developed between him and the two women, a source tells CNY Central.
According to the source, Justin Dallas was having a relationship with Samantha Rainwater and Brandy and Rainwater were later developed a relationship.
The source says this angered Dallas. He later went to Rainwater's home in Liverpool Monday morning and attacked the women along with another who was pushed down the stairs.
The Onondaga Sheriff's Office says there was some sort of argument, and Dallas stabbed the women to death.
Dallas then stole his wife's car and drove to Onondaga Lake, where he was caught after jumping into the lake in an apparent suicide attempt.
We also know from investigators that the Dallas' marriage was on the decline, and Brandy had filed for a
partial order of protection
against her husband after an
incident in July
where Justin Dallas was accused of unlawful imprisonment, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Justin Dallas now faces one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, and is being held without bail.
