A Liverpool man is facing serious charges after investigators say he broke into a Salina manâ??s home and stabbed him.

49-year-old Brian Lennox is charged with attempted murder after the incident in the home at 203 Vardon Street in Salina.

Deputies were called to the home at about 6:20 pm Monday for a stabbing. When they arrived, deputies found the victim, 57-year-old Mark White, lying on the ground bleeding profusely from his wounds in front of the Vardon Street home.

White told deputies he was attacked inside his house before stumbling out onto the front lawn, where a neighbor saw him and called 911.

White and other witnesses provided investigators with Lennoxâ??s description and address, which led them to 108 Pleasant View Drive, where they found Lennox in his garage.

Investigators took Lennox into custody and drove him to University Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained during the Vardon Street incident. Mark White was also taken to University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.
