Fri, 31 May 2013 14:30:38 GMT — Tickets for country star Luke Bryan, the State Fairâ??s top act for 2013, go on sale Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. with adjustments to Grandstand seating.Luke Bryan was named the Academy of Country Musicâ??s Entertainer of the Year.Tickets are available at the State Fair box office, located at the main gate of the Fairgrounds, or through the Fairâ??s online ticket retailer, Etix.com. Tickets are the same price at each location.Luke Bryan takes the stage on Thursday, August 29, with opening acts Thompson Square and Kelleigh Bannen. Tickets range in price from $50 to $70 and go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1. The Fair is limiting ticket sales to six Luke Bryan tickets per customer for the first day of sales.There are significant changes in seating for the Luke Bryan concert due to the use of an extended stage, called a thrust, for the show. There will be a pair of runways in the shape of a cross that jut out from the center of the stage front.The Fair says that on the standard layout map of the Grandstand, the three sections closest to the stage -- X1, X2, and X3 on the Flat Track -- will be eliminated in order to make room for the runways. Tickets in those areas will not be sold for this concert. Parking for box office sales is available in the Brown lot. The Fair says they will not be permitting people to park or line up overnight to buy tickets.Tickets for people with special needs and one companion will go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets.Other Grandstand acts scheduled for the 2013 State Fair include Toby Keith, Jeff Dunham, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carly Rae Jepsen and Reba. Tickets for these concerts are all on sale.More Grandstand shows are expected to be announced at a later date.Rapper and rocker Jake Miller set to headline Midway Music Series.Six of the up to 24 Chevy Court acts were announced this week.
The New York State Fair is scheduled for August 23 through September 3.
