The New York State Fair made its first, and highly anticipated, Grandstand concert announcements for the 2013 State Fair.
Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carly Rae Jepsen, Reba and Jeff Dunham, will take the stage at this year??s State Fair.
The top act is Luke Bryan, who was named the Academy of Country Music??s Entertainer of the Year. He will perform Thursday, August 29, with opening act Thompson Square. Tickets range in price from $50 to $70 and go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1.
Country star Toby Keith will perform on Friday, August 23. Keith is known for his many chart topping singles, including ??Should??ve been a Cowboy,?? ??Made in America,?? and ??I Love this Bar.?? Tickets range in price from $45 to $65 and go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25.
Country icon Reba will perform with Caroline Kole on Sunday, August 25. Tickets range in price from $35 to $55.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will take the stage with Hinder on Monday, August 26. Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock-band best known for their iconic singles ??Sweet Home Alabama?? and ??Free Bird.?? Tickets range in price from $25 to $45 and go on sale at 9 a.m., Friday, May 31.
Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, with Hot Chelle Rae, will perform on Saturday, August 24. Carly Rae Jepsen broke into the spotlight with her hit single ??Call Me Maybe,?? which spent nine weeks at the top if the Billboard Hot 100. Tickets range in price from $25 to $45 and go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 11.
Comedian Jeff Dunham will perform on Tuesday, August 27. Jeff Dunham is a stand-up comedian and ventriloquist who starred in a show on Comedy Central. Tickets range in price from $25 to $45 and go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, May 17.
Tickets for all the concerts and shows are available at the State Fair Box Office or on Etix.com, the Fair??s official and only online Grandstand show ticket seller. The Fair says Tickets are the same price, regardless of whether they are bought online at Etix.com.
The Fair is limiting ticket sales to eight tickets per show, per customer for the first day of ticket sales with the exception of Luke Bryan??s concert, where the limit is six.
The Fair says they will not be permitting people to park overnight or line up to buy tickets at the Fairgrounds before 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.
More Grandstand shows are expected to be announced at a later date.
The New York State Fair is scheduled for August 23 through September 3.
