Man arrested after police say he led them on a 10 block chase in Fulton

A Hannibal man is facing charges after police say he tried to run during a routine traffic stop.
43-year-old Scott Brien was charged with multiple vehicle and traffic charges after a Fulton Police officer saw Brien fail to yield the right of way while entering the road. The officer says Brien was texting.
Police say they chased Brien for 10 city blocks until he stopped the vehicle and took off on foot.
Brien is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
Brien was also wanted on a New York State Parole warrant and an Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Department warrant.
He is being held in the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
