Man convicted of brutally murdering Sandra Olrich to be released from prison
The daughter of Howard Marnell has confirmed that the convicted murderer will be released from prison.
Marnell was convicted of murdering his 20 year old sister-in-law Sandra Olrich in 1982. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
After being denied parole eight times, Marnell was granted parole in April, but his own family protested the decision.
In April, the family even traveled to Albany and convinced the parole board to reconsider its decision.
Today the parole board informed the family that it will allow Marnell to be released from prison.
