Man crushed in workplace accident in Marietta
A 42-year old man was killed in an industrial accident in Marietta today. The man, who's name is not being released at this time, was working on a grain truck in the maintenance shop at Volles Farm on Buckwheat Road.
Investigators say the man inadvertently hit a lever on the hydraulic lift attached to the rear of the truck causing the truck box to lower on top of his chest. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation continues.
