Robert E. Baker

A St. Lawrence County man is arrested after State Police say he was caught going more than 100 MPH on his motorcycle on State Route 11 in DeKalb.

Troopers chased 22-year-old Robert E. Baker after he was clocked going 100 MPH. Baker refused to pull over, troopers say, but sped up to 120 MPH while forcing cars off the road.

Troopers took Baker into custody when his bike ran out of gas just north of DeKalb Junction.

Baker is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer. He was taken to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. He is due back in court on June 10.
