Man found not guilty in homicide outside B&B Lounge in Syracuse

The man arrested in a Syracuse homicide last year was found not guilty on Wednesday.

24-year-old Anthony Hopper was charged with killing 23-year-old Rodney Maddux outside the B&B Lounge on South Avenue in September 2012.

Witnesses identified Hopper as the shooter from surveillance footage released to the public.

A jury acquitted Hooper after his defense focused on the fact that no one identified him by face and the lack of fingerprint, DNA or scientific evidence tying him to the murder.
