Man found slain inside Utica apartment building, one suspect just released from prison

Dennis Mosley

Two suspects were arrested in Utica after the body of a 47-year-old man was found inside his apartment building.

Police say they are trying to determine whether Allen Minor was living in Olbiston Apartments where his body was found Monday morning after officers were called to the building. Officials say his body was found in the second-floor apartment's entranceway.

Utica Police say Minor had signs of being assaulted.

Police say they developed information about two possible suspects, 28-year-old Dennis Mosley and 31-year-old Kelly Marshall, which they subsequently arrested at a motel in north Utica.

Police say that during the investigation they learned that the Mosley and Marshall went to MinorĂ¢??s apartment with the intention of robbing him.

During that robbery, police say the Mosley repeatedly stabbed Minor. Mosley and Marshall took his property and fled the scene.

Investigators say they learned that the Mosley was released from prison on Friday. He had been serving time for a robbery conviction and is currently in parole.

Mosley and Marshall have both been charged with second degree murder.
