Man questioned after reporting a deadly shooting in his Oneida County home
State police say they're investigating the gunshot death of a central New York woman in a shooting that was reported by a man who's being questioned by investigators.
Troopers say 49-year-old Larry Utter called the Oneida County 911 center around 4 p.m. Tuesday to report a shooting inside his home in the rural town of Forestport, on the southwest boundary of the Adirondack Park 55 miles northwest of Syracuse.
When police arrived at the home, they found 45-year-old Stacey Utter dead inside from an apparent gunshot wound.
Troopers haven't said how the Utters are related.
Police say Larry Utter is being held for questioning Wednesday morning.
