Man recovering after hit-and-run accident in Syracuse

One man is recovering at Upstate University Hospuital after a hit-and-run accident that happened around 5:30pm on Saturday evening in Syracuse.
Syracuse Police responded to 9-1-1 calls for a Dodge pick-up truck hitting a pedestrian and driving away on the 1100 block of Wolf Street.
Police obtained a description of the truck and its driver, and located the suspect about ten minutes later on the 100 block of Putnam Street.
53-year-old Darrell Richmond, of Syracuse, was arrested and charged with the felonies of Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and the misdemeanor of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree.
The 39-year-old pedestrian is not being identified. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Richmond is scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday in Syracuse City Criminal Court.
